Accreditations

We fully understand that selecting a security company to supply security officers to guard or to hold the keys to your premises is a very important decision, and it is imperative that the service provider that you chose engages only reliable, professional, trustworthy, fully screened and vetted security personnel. This is why accreditation to a recognised standard is so important. Walford Security Ltd holds two important accreditations.

Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an independent organisation established by the government under the terms of the private security industry act 2001. The SIA's mission is to help protect society by collaboratively developing and achieving high standards in the private security industry. In order to achieve it's mission the SIA introduced licensing for all individuals, guards and managers, operating within the private security industry. The licensing of individuals is a legal requirement and will ensure that those working within the industry are fit and proper persons who have received adequate training and criminal record checks for the roles they perform. The SIA are trying to raise standards even further and they are trying to reduce the number of rogue security companies operating within the United Kingdom. To do this they have implemented the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme. This scheme will provide purchasers with independent proof of accredited providers' commitment to quality throughout every key area of their business. This company is pleased to announce that we have been audited and have successfully passed and been accepted as an SIA Approved Contractor. More details can be found at www.the-sia.org.uk
